This year’s Indian Open begins on the 12th of September with the final taking place on the 16th of September. Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby and Neil Robertson are missing but Shaun Murphy and John Higgins are present and the favourites to win.
Shaun Murphy has been in fantastic form this season, making the finals of the last two tournaments he has taken part in. He didn’t take part in the Six Red World Championship in Thailand, and maybe the break will do him some good after an hectic couple of weeks and losing out in two finals. Murphy is a best priced 8/1 which is tempting, though he does still have a qualifying match to play against the Indian amateur Pandurangaiah, who is 1000/1 to win the tournament, but shouldn’t cause the former world champion too many problems.» read more
