The 2015 winner of this event, Thepchaiya Un-nooh has booked his place in the semi-final of this year’s event with wins over Stuart Bingham and Liang Wenbo. Un-nooh finally got over the line with a break of 53 in the eleventh frame.

Mark Williams will play Marco Fu in the second of tomorrow’s semi-finals after beating Kyren Wilson 6-3 in last 16 match, followed by a 6-2 win over Michael Holt in his quarter-final match. Williams sailed through the round robin stages, winning all his three matches, only dropping 6 frames in the process.

Marco Fu’s last 16 match was against reigning champion Ding Junhui, but he faced little resistance against the China man, eliminating him 6-1. Fu found things harder against Graeme Dott, from 5-2 down he reeled off the next 4 frames to sneak through 6-5.
